At Studio Stretch, we have curated a boutique yoga experience set in a modern and intimate space. By offering small classes and encouraging our instructors to express their interpretation of the practice, our mission is to provide an experience that reflects the original intentions of yoga.
Brittany Lebel Mitchell E-RYT200
Founder & Instructor
Brittany began her yoga journey in 2009 as a compliment to high intensity cross training. She quickly incorporated Vinyasa Flow classes into her weekly routine and began studying the history and philosophy of yoga. A RYT 200, Brittany specializes in Power Fusion as well as Restorative Yoga for Athletes and Runners. A Shreveport / Bossier City native, after having lived in New Orleans, Charleston and Chicago over the last decade, she is excited and eager to bring her dynamic and inclusive style of yoga to her hometown.
Monica Fayad E-RYT500
Monica learned how influential movement is on wellness at a young age. Encouraged by her parents’ dedication to health, she was taken to the gym to work out her depression beginning in middle school. From that point she found a love for dance and in college her quest for well being was quenched with the combination of modern dance, yoga and meditation. Today, she combines her passion for the power of movement toward self-awareness by bringing yoga and bodywork to the community. Since 2002, she has completed over 1000 hours of training in vinyasa yoga, Ashtanga yoga, mindfulness, yin yoga and Ayurveda for bodywork and yoga. Monica blends her knowledge to approach each client and student with compassion, a keen eye and an understanding of universal patterns as well as inherent individualism. Monica teaches Ashtanga with the blessing of her teacher, Melanie Fawer, trained in the lineage of Sri. K Patabhi Jois and loves teaching all styles of yoga as they each create a path toward self-awareness.
Paige Flournoy RYT 200
Paige started her yoga journey in high school to try to help with her anxiety and has been hooked ever since. With 10 years of self-practice under her belt, she felt it was time to spread her love of yoga with her hometown, Shreveport, LA. Receiving her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Dallas, Texas at Black Swan Yoga, Paige hopes to bring a fun new approach to such a timeless practice in all of her classes. When she isn’t on her mat she is adventuring with her husband and probably eating chips and queso. "Yoga has helped change my life, strengthen my body, and calm my mind. I have a strong desire to share with others the healing benefits of yoga.”
Dakota Martinez 200 CYT
Born in a small town in Texas, Dakota grew up around yoga her entire life. With her mother being a yoga instructor and studio owner, Dakota knew yoga would be her lifelong passion. With decades of experience in the yoga industry under her belt, Dakota hopes to share her knowledge and skills with you every opportunity she gets. Dakota believes that connecting to our inner peace is a very important tool to have, and she enjoys sharing that experience with everyone who crosses her path. Dakota is very grateful for all of her students and fellow yoga teachers. Her favorite quote to live by states; “I believe that our greatest love is the love we find within ourselves." Dakota believes that keeping an open heart and open mind is the best way to ride this wave of life. She looks forward to meeting you in class!
Jennifer Smith RYT 200
Jennifer began yoga years ago for two reasons: to aid in her constant neck and shoulder pain and to get out of her comfort zone. She has always loved being active and found that yoga combined both a physical aspect along with a soothing meditative side. She also discovered that yoga was the one activity wherein she wasn’t distracted with anything else other than being present on her mat. A lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA, she decided to make a stronger commitment to her yoga practice and recently completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Frisco, Texas. Traveling to and from Texas, meeting new people fit right in with her life’s motto by Wayne Dyer - “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” She is very excited to begin her teaching journey and cannot wait to grow and learn with you.
Emily Sample RYT 200
Emily began her yoga journey in 2000 after playing college soccer. Yoga and meditation slowly began to bring healing into her life. She has traveled near and far attending numerous classes, workshops, festivals and retreats. She loves to incorporate the music and experiences of travel into her own teaching. She completed her 200 hour teacher ashtanga based training with Ally Ford in 2011, along with certifications and trainings in prenatal, kids, vinyasa flow, yin, chakra balancing, and mediation.
